Although Prunus have seen many additional varieties introduced over the last two hundred years there is a wild cherry that is indigenous to the UK. This winter flowering variety loves warm spells during winter when its delicate pink flowers can appear at any time. This is the rosea variety but there is also an alba (white) variety.
